Great for Climbing

This Braided Corde Lisse (Aerial Rope) has a 30mm diameter with an un-braided cotton core. The 30mm diameter is not too thick or too thin – a great size for most hands (and toes!) to grip.

The diamond braided outer has more grip than a covered rope but is still pleasantly soft and very flexible. It’s easy and comfortable to bend and fold under the feet, so it’s easy and comfortable to climb!

The Prodigy Braided Corde Lisse has a little stretch when new, approximately 2.5-3% stretch. This is not as much as a 3-Ply rope but more than a covered rope. This is very comfortable for beginner level drops and good for beats and intermediate level catch and release tricks.

The Prodigy Braided Rope comes with a 0.5m Polyester Strop which can then be attached to a carabiner.

Which rope do I want?

Firetoys 3-ply Ropes

The chunky yet flexible nature of the 3-ply ropes allow for sturdy wraps, but the bounce and stretch along with the bumpier surface can make rolls more difficult for some. The stretch makes these ideal for cushioning dynamic drops.

Prodigy Braided Ropes

The sturdier and more rigid braided rope makes these incredibly supportive, and easy to climb. The slight amount of bounce makes drops a little comfier than a covered rope, but not so stretchy as to make releases problematic. A bit thick for smaller hands, but the broader, smoother surface makes rolls and propellors very smooth.

Prodigy Cotton Covered Ropes

A soft cover over a hardy non-stretchy core, this rope is better suited to very dynamic swings and beats, as no energy is lost to bounce. Releases and regrips are better here, though drops can be more impactful.
