This book is one of the most highly recommended resources for aerial hoop out there and having purchased it, I can definitely see why. It is an incredibly densely packed resource - you will get your money's worth for sure as there are almost 200 pages of charmingly drawn black and white pictures that will inspire you to expand your vocabulary and to eventually create your own moves.
The book is ring-bound and laid out with the moves grouped according to the following categories: static poses, using the strops, contortion poses, transitions, tumbles, exits, and doubles.
Despite the manual being written in French, there are no explanations for the moves, only the drawings themselves, so fear not if your Francais c'est un peux bof! Most moves have a star rating attached so that you can see how hard they are to access, and the author has helpfully pointed out which tricks can be done using single tabbed, double tabbed or both types of hoops.
Cons about this book: I couldn't figure out how to get into some of the moves as some of the diagrams weren't clear enough and there was no written explanation at all to accompany the diagrams. As such, this book should not be used on its own without a teacher to talk you through the moves step by step, the points of contact, your weight distribution, safe spotting and exits.
In summary, this book is an excellent resource to have lying around if you need some inspiration - just pick it up, open to a random page and chances are there will be something new to try! But, from a safety point of view, it is definitely more of a reference than an instructional manual so should not be used without a teacher to talk you through each move!
