PLEASE PURCHASE THIS BOOK. IT'S BEAT IN TIME AND EXPLANATION IS SECOND TO NONE. THEN IT'S JUST PERSEVERANCE AND TIME TO PRACTICE.
Excellent purchase. This book shows in detail how to do various moves in beat so I highly recommend this. Then it's down to perseverance. It's not the first time I have purchased from firetoys. Excellent customer service. Postage is always on time if not early.
The best contact staff book existing

The Book!
Written in a way that let the feeling go over the experience of the video. The powerful understanding of any passage make this book the bast compendium ever produced before
Ideal for anyone just getting into contact staff. The level of detail the author has put into the instruction is fantastic and provides a solid foundation that make the more flashy moves a lot easier to pick up.
I got both this and "The Book of Staff Spinning by Johnathan Reynolds" and I have to say that although there are fewer 'moves' in this one, it is by far the better of the two. The illustrations are clear and simple, and convey plenty of information. The instructions are easy to follow, and there are side notes with things to watch out for, and ways to expand and improve on each trick once you've mastered it.
I can't recommend it highly enough.
I struggled making the move from spinning to contact and this book gave me the knowledge. Definately the official contact starter book
This book is Very much for the first time contact spinner. I say that because I purchased this book after about three months of spinning. Like most people I know who spin contact, I borrowed staffs off friends and got them to show me tricks before investing in a staff for myself. This meant that this book wasn't too helpful for me, every trick in the book I had learnt a month after picking up a staff!
BUT...
If someone was a first time contact spinner (e.g. done trad staff and wants to take it to the next level) or a complete novice this book is very good!
The diagrams are very easy to follow and split the moves down to their base components in a way where it is very easy to digest!
In summary :-
Good book If you have just picked up the staff but if you can steve and conveyor look for something more advanced!
