Size and weight

The Aerial Heart is available in only one size, so our usual size guide doesn't apply.

Every element of the Aerial Heart is designed to be the right size for most users and excellent for doubles!

From the lowest central point at the top to the sit bar at the bottom, the internal diameter is 96cm.

The sit bar on the bottom is 35cm across, and the widest point inside the Aerial Heart is 118cm.

The weight is 8.94kg.

How to rig the Aerial Heart

You can choke a Polyester Strop or Aerial PolySafe Rope from the top of each bump on the Heart.

If you are using the hoop bare (un-taped), you must put tape directly under the Strop/PolySafe Rope to prevent the bar from slipping.

You can use a Prodigy Aerial Sewn Loop Sling in some circumstances, but we don't recommend this for long-term rigging. You could use these in a performance if you need rigging, which is less visible to the audience.

You can rig the points vertically, with each strop/rope connected to the anchor point by a carabiner. We recommend this method if you do not want the hoop to rotate and want to stay facing your audience.

You can rig the points diagonally to a central point, with each strop/rope connected to a 3 Toe rigging plate by a carabiner. Then connect the top of the rigging plate to a swivel with another. Finally, connect the swivel to your anchor point with another carabiner. We recommend this method if you do want the hoop to rotate.

Aside from a safe rigging point, there are optional accessories and essential rigging gear you might need.

What you need for each type of aerial hoop varies. If you have any questions, we are happy to help. We recommend crash mats, tape, grip aids, and hand loop straps.

The Aerial Heart is made from 10G tubing (25.4mm with 3mm wall). It’s professionally TIG-welded with a solid mild steel insert to back the weld, and root and cap welds on the top and bottom joins. It’s powder-coated with a sparkly red finish, which looks great, protects the steel from rust, and is easy to wipe clean. Ready to use with or without tape.
