Aerial Silk Fundamentals

This lively book takes you through Aerial Silk fundamentals, including how to climb, wrap, invert and spiral your body into and out of various positions.

Full-colour photos accompany all the tricks taught in this book to help illustrate the techniques. It also contains a guide to body-strengthening exercises that you can do at home. These exercises will help you progress with your silks training by strengthening and conditioning your body when not on the silk. In Jill's words, "This guide will help you gain the strength of a cirque performer, the lovely lines of a ballet dancer and the ease of movement like a Pilates pro."

VERY basic book with not much content

I was excited to receive a new silks book to add to my collection, even more excited that I ordered the beginner and intermediate books at the same time.

The book is quite thin and deals with a few VERY BASIC moves and ties etc, however it throws in a x back straddle which I would deffo have placed in intermediate. I thought that this might be a good reference guide for basics for my students... However its extremely basic and limited. What is described is described very thoroughly tho and extremely well diagrammed and broken down.

Overall rather dissapointed however please see my review for the intermediate book x
